What is Tembira?
A game of questions for the people you're with: couples, friends and families. Pick a pack, choose how deep to go, and pass the phone round. One good question turns into a conversation, and you find out things about each other you didn't know.
Is it on iPhone and Android?
Both. Tembira for iPhone is available on the App Store, and the Android version is on Google Play.
Does everyone need the app?
No. You play on one phone, passed round the table, with anywhere from two to eleven people. Only the person whose phone it is needs the app. Everyone else is just a name on the list.
Do I need an account?
No. Open Tembira and play: no sign-up, no email. The packs you buy belong to your Apple ID or Google account, so on a new phone you tap Restore purchases and they're back. New packs and questions still reach you without waiting for an update, and the people you play with don't need anything at all.
What's free, and what does it cost?
Every pack comes with five free questions on your phone, so you can try Couples, Friends and Family before you buy. Each question you're dealt from a pack you haven't bought uses one, and that includes Another question.
After that, buy the packs you like, one at a time or all three together for the price of two. You pay once and it's yours: no subscription, and no trial that turns into a charge. The App Store or Google Play shows the price in your currency.
Is the Family pack all right for children?
Yes. Every question in Family works for anyone at the table, from the youngest to the grandparents, and Tembira is rated 4+. Children play on a grown-up's phone, and the app collects nothing about them.
Does it work without a connection?
Mostly. You need one to buy a pack and to load the questions the first time. After that, the packs you own play without one. If the phone locks or the app closes mid-conversation, it opens again right where you left off.
Which languages does it speak?
English and Czech. The app follows your phone's language, and so do the questions: every pack comes in both. You can switch the question language in the app.
What do you collect, and why?
Only if you say yes when you first open Tembira: seeing how people really play, what they love and where they get stuck, tells us what to fix and what to make next. We'd see which screens you open, what you tap, and each conversation in numbers, tied to a random ID, never your name or email. Never what anyone says, the players' names or which questions came up. We never sell it, and Tembira works the same if you say no. You can change your answer any time in Settings › Analytics.
Crash reports stay on whatever you choose, so we can fix what breaks. A thumb up or down on a question reaches us separately from all this, so we can fix the questions that don't work. The whole story is in our privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, Settings › Delete my data. It deletes what we keep for your phone's guest ID: purchase records, votes and feedback. Tembira then carries on as a new guest. Packs you bought stay with your Apple ID or Google account, and Restore purchases brings them back. Can't open the app? Email us the Support ID from Settings, and we'll delete it for you.
If you have an account, it's Settings › Delete account instead. You confirm it's you, and if you can't on that phone, the app offers to email us, and we'll delete it for you.

Tembira is our game for the people at the same table: couples, friends and families. It grew from the idea behind everything we make: people get closer when they find out something new about each other, a little at a time, and nobody has to answer a question they'd rather skip.
